Thats easy! a game about the eastern front covering the enitre war 41-45.

If he want to do another "battle" game he should do Kursk and secondly Stalingrad. It must have cards however.It must also have nation specific unit values on a d12 system. The map should be done by artists that dont work for Avalon Hill. those people could not draw a tic tac toe map properly. I really don't know what it is with the Art team over there. They must double as graphic artists while not doing their primary job as mail room clerks at an insurance company.
